The essential aspect of contemporary physics is to understand properties of nucleonic matter that constitutes the world around us. Over the years research in nuclear physics has provided strong guidance in understanding the basic principles of nuclear interactions. But, the scenario of nuclear physics changed drastically as the new generation of accelerators started providing more and more rare isotopes, which are away from the line of stability. These weakly bound nuclei are found to exhibit new forms of nuclear matter and unprecedented exotic behaviour. The low breakup thresholds of these rare nuclei are posing new challenges to both theory and experiments. Fortunately, nature has provided a few loosely bound stable nuclei that have been studied thoroughly for decades Attempts are being made to find a consistent picture for the unstable nuclei starting from their stable counterparts. 采用每毫米1000线的自支撑透射光栅配上背照射软X射线CCD(charge coupled device)组成了透射光栅谱仪,利用北京同步辐射装置(BSRF)3W1B光束线软X射线实验站上X射线源分别对透射光栅的衍射效率和软X射线CCD的响应灵敏度进行了准确的实验标定,获得了150eV到1500eV能区的绝对衍射效率和响应灵敏度的实验结果;同时在国内外研究工作的基础上,发展了自己的透射光栅衍射效率理论计算模型和X射线CCD响应灵敏度计算模型,开展了相应的理论计算和实验标定结果比对工作,理论和实验符合较好,  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Perovskite structured mixed metal fluorides containing manganese/sodium or potassium have been synthesized in pure form by a greener precipitation route and characterized by high-resolution powder X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy techniques. While all the reflections in the powder X-ray diffraction pattern of potassium manganese fluoride could be indexed in cubic symmetry with a = 4.1889 Å, sodium manganese fluoride showed reflections at positions typical of orthorhombic symmetry (Pnma space group) with a = 5.751, b = 8.008, and c = 5.548 Å. Potassium manganese fluoride in powder form showed bands at 209, 291, 386, 558, 621, and 733 cm?1 in the Raman spectrum at room temperature. All these bands disappeared and second-order band at 1151 and 1298 cm?1 emerged when the powders were compacted under pressure ranging between 1 and 4 tons (uniaxial). A similar change was noticed for sodium manganese fluoride in which bands at 1099, 1149, 1203, and 1286 cm?1 were observed for the compacted samples. The response of the vibrational modes of these compounds to uniaxial pressure revealed the existence of large structural disorder in them. Additionally, the need for the extreme care to collect and interpret Raman data of polycrystalline samples of these systems has been illustrated through this study.  相似文献

Abstract

The structural phase transition observed at ?13°C in KAlF4 is shown to be martensitic. The results of an investigation of the phonon spectrum by inelastic neutron scattering are reported. It is shown that the transition is preceded by the softening of a flat phonon branch. A model is proposed to explain how such a softening is related to the martensitic transition.  相似文献

The efficiency of soft X‐ray diffraction gratings is studied using measurements and calculations based on the differential method with the S‐matrix propagation algorithm. New open‐source software is introduced for efficiency modelling that accounts for arbitrary groove profiles, such as those based on atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements; the software also exploits multi‐core processors and high‐performance computing resources for faster calculations. Insights from these calculations, including a new principle of optimal incidence angle, are used to design a soft X‐ray emission spectrometer with high efficiency and high resolution for the REIXS beamline at the Canadian Light Source: a theoretical grating efficiency above 10% and resolving power EE > 2500 over the energy range from 100 eV to 1000 eV are achieved. The design also exploits an efficiency peak in the third diffraction order to provide a high‐resolution mode offering EE > 14000 at 280 eV, and EE > 10000 at 710 eV, with theoretical grating efficiencies from 2% to 5%. The manufactured gratings are characterized using AFM measurements of the grooves and diffractometer measurements of the efficiency as a function of wavelength. The measured and theoretical efficiency spectra are compared, and the discrepancies are explained by accounting for real‐world effects: groove geometry errors, oxidation and surface roughness. A curve‐fitting process is used to invert the calculations to predict grating parameters that match the calculated and measured efficiency spectra; the predicted blaze angles are found to agree closely with the AFM estimates, and a method of characterizing grating parameters that are difficult or impossible to measure directly is suggested.  相似文献

X‐ray absorption and scattering spectroscopies involving the 3d transition‐metal K‐ and L‐edges have a long history in studying inorganic and bioinorganic molecules. However, there have been very few studies using the M‐edges, which are below 100 eV. Synchrotron‐based X‐ray sources can have higher energy resolution at M‐edges. M‐edge X‐ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and resonant inelastic X‐ray scattering (RIXS) could therefore provide complementary information to K‐ and L‐edge spectroscopies. In this study, M2,3‐edge XAS on several Co, Ni and Cu complexes are measured and their spectral information, such as chemical shifts and covalency effects, are analyzed and discussed. In addition, M2,3‐edge RIXS on NiO, NiF2 and two other covalent complexes have been performed and different dd transition patterns have been observed. Although still preliminary, this work on 3d metal complexes demonstrates the potential to use M‐edge XAS and RIXS on more complicated 3d metal complexes in the future. The potential for using high‐sensitivity and high‐resolution superconducting tunnel junction X‐ray detectors below 100 eV is also illustrated and discussed.  相似文献
